  • Located on the first floor of the Maison du Châtelet, in the heart of the old medieval town, the Louis Bancel museum displays an important collection of bronze, marble and onyx sculptures, sketches, pencil, pen and charcoal drawings.

  • Louis Bancel (1926-1978) was born in Saint-Julien-Molin-Molette. He followed a demanding classical training, based on Greek sculpture, that of Michelangelo and Rodin.
